Hi everyone,

Opening weekend was tough for the most part. Some people did ok, while others struggled. The two patterns that did the best were the deeper wood, and if you found green weeds. Minnows were the live bait of choice. I heard of some guys catching Walleyes on artificials, but the vast majority of Walleyes were caught on the jig/minnow combo.

The water temps are now finally starting to rise, which should trigger the food chain into action, and get the Walleyes moving. Good luck fishing everyone.
