    Default recent fish

Fishing has been pretty good even with all the crazy weather. Last couple days haven't been able to fish due to all the storms, but here is one that my client, Keary Schmidt, got before the storms. Hit on a figure 8 too!! We saw 27 fish and boated 8 of them in two days. Lost several others.

    Default Does the lake flood?

With all the rain coming this week does it affect the lake adversly. I realize the runoff will muddy up everything, but is the lake regulated with a spillway? Do the ramps go under? Can You be so genorous to give us some simple tips on fishing the lake on a flooding week. i might come down next week early. Thanks

I'm afraid it is only getting get worse with all the rain we are getting right now (monday-wednesday). The main ramp dock is already under water, and the lake is up about 2-3 feet over normal pool. By next week though, things could be back to normal since we have a fixed spillway and the water will level off quickly after a few days of no rain. Just find clear water and weeds and you should be good to go!

thanks for the reply. That's more info than has been given on this forum ever. Please feel free to give more reports. Is there a lake monitering site anywhere that keeps track of the water levels and temps?

It looks like that big fish your client got was tagged did you find out any info on it?

The fish had tag #3468 and she was netted on 3/22/06 and she was 43.5 inches.

Just goes to show that their growth rates drop dramatically after they hit 43 inches on that lake. I have seen this many times in the past. It took this particular fish five years to grow from 43.5 to 46.
