Here we go again Rain go away! I feel like we live in a rain forest! The fishing the last several days has been unbelievable to say the least. This week I have 7 over 40" biggest being 47". All shallow and very fat full of eggs getting ready for their spawn. The lake is up right now at 21 feet above summer pool but it has been stationary for several days and this has helped things to kick in. The water is getting clearer from the flats toward beaver creek now still a little darker than flats down toward the dam but getting in pretty good shape. The water temps are mid 50's with beaver being just a touch warmer due to the merkey water up there. The key is get in the bushes as shallow as you can if you find spots that doesn't have a lot of water behind the tree line then you have found fish. The baits haven't changed much Rattle Baits, Fat Belly Rattler, Sledge which is getting hot, little medussa. In the next few days things will start moving on spinnerbaits too! Good luck stop in the store and check out new lures and BLUEGRASS FISHING RODS which are a must for all musky fisherman! See you on the pond
