Spring Turkey Hunting; "Toms" Piling Up

Even though it is early in the 2011 turkey season, we have been busy putting birds on the ground. From the Learn to Hunt in late March that had our young hunter seeing 7-8 different toms on each day, to Jacob Coenen shooting his big tom during the Youth hunt, to the father and son team of Vince and Luke Coenen bagging this great double during season 1, it has been the start of a great season. With plenty of seasons left and hopefully the last major snowfall of the season in the books, we are planning on many more successful hunts. What a great time of the year in Central Wisconsin......do I take the boat out or go turkey hunting? boat or turkey hunting........ You get the picture.
