Seems I always make the trek to Webster area during the spawn.
What are the approximate dates this usually runs? What, if any techniques should be avoided during this time? Thanks for any replies.

The musky spawn isn't really "date" related...it is more water temp related. Our fish seem to really get into spawn around 58 degrees. Which usually happens in late April, but I have seen it happen in early May as well...all depends on mother nature.
Techniques to be avoided....can't really think of any.

Thanks for taking time to answer Mike, it's greatly appreciated, that's exactly what I wanted to know. Temp would be a much more reliable gauge.
By the way folks, in re-reading my original post, I don't want to make it sound like I didn't want to fish during the spawn time for any reason. Just pretty much missed last year do to being chained to work & needed a refresher of the spring progression.
