    Question Ice opening

Just wondering, on average, when does Lake Alice open up in spring? Just planning boat repair strategies.

even sooner than I thought when I posted the "soon, very soon". I heard that a truck went through on the Rainbow this weekend and also know for sure a 4 wheeler went through on the Willow.

With all this snow and cold, it looks like my plans for our boat need to be delayed a bit???

I know this is an old thread but Dave when you say Panfish only does that mean that is the only fish you can keep? You can still fish for others just catch and release correct?

    supra:

I don't think you are supposed to be fishing the other fish, but incidental catch and release for the other species besides the pan fish.

Thanks for the reply Mark. So basically if we went up at the end of this Month(if the ice is gone) fishing for Musky, Pike, and Bass we are not aloud to per state regulations?

If the Species of fish has a closed season it is illegal to fish for that species. But if you catch one by mistake and release it you are within the law. If you are fishing for Perch lets say with a #9 Rapala you will get a fine because the bait or lure you are using must be within reason for the species you are fishing for. So do not use a Mepps Musky Killer fishing for Panfish!!!
