I see your point about CPR, stress, and the fish swimming away faster. Do you think it's stressfull for the fish thrashing in the net with the bait in it's mouth - hooked up with the net? Of coarse this could possibly happen with a played out fish as well. I think the most important thing is to take a quick photo, and limit the time the fish is out of its element. Sometimes fish come into the net quickly for me, as long as they are on top of the water and I am leading them in the direction I want. If not, I play them out a bit more. I have never had a problem with them swimming away. Just my thoughts.
