Default Fishing Season Looks to start 3/10/2010

It looks like our guide season is going to start Monday. With nice weather and some wind this weekend, it should open up some of the reservoir by the Big Bend Dam. The motel is beginning to open up some rooms, snow is cleared out and we are getting ready to roll. Looks to be a busy guide season, we are really looking forward to getting out on the open water.

We are thinking of making the trip to chamberlain in two weeks, do you think the river will be open in chamberlain or will we have to put in at the dam? Thanks for info and we will see you soon

It will be close. I believe the River will be open in front of town. Might be able to put in at American Creek Campground. I made a wager that the American Creek Marina will be open by March 31st. We will see.

    Default Open Water

River is now open to Carpenter Bluffs, with some big chunks still floating around. You can put in at the Campground, but should be careful yet. We figure the Marina could open any day. Lots of wind has gotten things to open up fast.
