Default Fishing Report for February 22

Friday and Saturday guided out on LCO. Friday it was extremely windy, but we managed through the day, we fished a weed flat in 13-14 feet of water. we got a couple of pike the and a nice 23 inch walleye in the evening, all on Tip-ups with walleye suckers about a foot off the bottom. Saturday we started out in a weedy bay jigging for bluegills and tip-ups for pike, it was pretty slow in the morning, so we went back to where we were friday, and got a bunch more pike. all again on shiners and tip-ups about a foot off the bottom.

Ice is about 22 inches thick and we have about 6-8 inches of fresh snow on the ice, travel conditions are good.

    Good luck,

Tanner, I heard you now have to give "How to walk on Ice lessons" before taking guys out on the ice.

A walleye sucker is just like a musky sucker but about 4-5 inches long, they are juvenile white sucker.
