Lake Mendota action has slowed significantly since the cold snap, but there have been reports of success on perch on the west side of the lake. Try in the Fox Bluff and Commadore area for the best results. Pike fishermen have reported slowed action as well, with some fish still coming in off of Governor's Island. Also in the Governor's Island area, the catfish have been biting in 20'-30' of water. The average size for catfish coming out of the lake have been in the 8 to 15 lb. range.

Lake Monona perch fishermen have reported mostly smaller fish with the occasional nice catch. The best locations to try at the moment seem to be Law Park and Bebe Clark Beach. Bluegill action in Monona Bay and the Triangle area has continued to be spotty. There have been the occasional reports of sizable catches, but they have been few and far between. Bluegill fishermen in Squaw Bay have reported slower hits, but those going out with cameras have seen that there is still a decent amount of fish in the general area.

Lake Waubesa overall has been slow, though reports of northerns and bluegills off of Lake Farm Park have come in recently. Perch fishing has been spotty, with the occasional good catch in the main basin of the lake.

Lake Kegonsa has had rumor of decent walleyes coming off the lake. Pan fishing reports as of late have been near non-existent.
