I've always made the trip to cave run in the fall but my buddy and me were looking to maybe try early spring so my question is...When is the best time for the rattle trap bite? Late March? Thanks guys.

Middle Island is pretty iced up. My buddy and me drive by it everyday almost. Once it's off we are gonna soak some lures. I'll let ya know Mikie. you gonna be at chapter 9 show this year? missed ya last year.

I've made the spring trip 3 of the last 4 years and it is still muskie fishing but i enjoy getting a jump start to the open water season. We go the last full week in march and it all depends on the water temp and weather. Get a hold of tony he and his guides are the only way to go if something is going on the lake he will be more than happy to share info. We have enjoyed getting to know him and his guides.
