    Default Pacemakers

    Hey Ty,
Would you say you get more action on the large pacemakers, or the small ones?

That really depends on the time of year and the fish activity level. For instance last year in one week we had two days where the fish were really active on the small Pacemaker and then three days where they only wanted the large Pacemaker and then the last two days we clobered them on the extra large Pacemaker. This was one of those once in a lefetime topwater weeks in Canada where we were seeing upwards of thirty fish a day so we were able to experiment a lot. We had seven people in out group so the people in the group that stuck with the small Pacemakers really stopped catching fish when the bite had changed to bigger Pacemakers.

Normally the bigger Pacemaker is better late in the season and the small one is better early in the season. Also, usually the small Pacemaker is better when the fish are less active and the large one is better when the fish are more active.
