I have been focusing on Walleye the last week and have found them in 15 feet of water or less and as shallow as 4 feet. Small shiners under a tip up or jigging a spoon with a minnow head has been working. I have been fishing break edges with weeds nearby, with good and bad day’s weather dependent. Sunset and an hour before and after have been the best for me. Going to try some new areas this week. Slush has been bad but is getting better in some areas. Unfished or untraveled areas still have the most slush. Ice still remains in the 4-6 inch range and caution is still advised.
Good luck
