    tony i talked to you a few weeks back about what reel you are using for the big bucktails. could you please refresh my memory on which mod you are using? thanks mike

    if u r right handed the daiwa saltist is the best bang for your buck, if your a lefty the Calcutta te has been good to me. I would us the saltist but they're not available in left handed models.

    thanks i will check it out. been told to look at abu winch and shimano trinidad, any thoughts on them?

    checked out the saltist. what mod. are you using and what size? saw 4 or 5 differant types. thanks mike

    If you're leaning toward the Abu line, I've heard - not from any personal experience - that the Toro's aren't holding up well. I've been using a 7000c3i and I've been very pleased with it.
    It's a big reel but i have big hands and a big...stiff rod to put it on. Best advice would be to go to a dealer like Bass Pro that has a number of reels on display and feel them for yourself. Have a very muskie new year, m
