    Default Hunting 2010

Well the Trophy Whitetail Hunt is here, and we are excited about the deer signs we are seeing. I look forward to a great hunting seasons. The weather has been in the low 40s F at night and in the mid 60s during the day. Hopefully this will be our warm weather spurt and we will have continuing cold weather. We have heard from the MNR that are doing a Elk study in our area and are staying with us that the wolf population is down due to mange. The leafs have turned colors and have fallen off the trees we now have a better view when scouting in the bush. We have posted a few photos from the past few years and we will post something everyday on the what is happening. The new regulations also state that you can not bring across the border natural doe estridge, due to CWD. You can only use synthetics, Code Blue and Tink's make scents in synthetic. If you have any questions please give us a call at 1-800-363-3379.

    Default Hunting news 10-17-2010

Well I went out to do some scounting today, some old spots, some spots I haven't hunted in over 5 years. The first spot I had to blaze a trail with my chain saw. All for not! Not much there. The second spot showed alot of potential right off of the shore, I saw three scrapes. I walked in about 500 yard I had a pleasant surprise that I forgot I had a stand that I never took out. Ten to fifteen yards ahead there was a 3X4 scrape. I did not see to many rubs just a few small trees. We are seeing alot of deer while driving. I will keep you posted.
