Fishing report for october 5
Guided yesterday on the St. Louis river, we trolled all day, and got one musky and a few pike in the boat, the musky was 36 inches long and was caught on a 7 inch slammer minnow bait trolled at about 3.25 mph in 14 feet of water.
today guided out on the chip, on the first spot this morning we had a fish grab a sucker, but when I got the rod out of the rod holder, it dropped it, then had another one grab a sucker mid day, and pull it into weeds, and drop it, the fish then chased both suckers around for about 10 minutes, but wouldn't eat them, the fish was about 42 inches. that was it for our action, one was on a main lake weed bar, and the other was in really thick weeds.
I am heading out of town to fish the PMTT championship, so I will post a fishing report when I get back.
