Thread: Water levels

    Default Water levels

With the amount of rain that has fallen north of the "tension line" lately have water levels in some of the area lakes (Katherine and Two Sisters come to mind) improved enough so you can launch a boat without having to back your vehicle in up to the front bumper?

Most lakes that have inlets are at full pool. There are some seepage lakes that are still down but they have improved tremendously since this spring. Katherine has risen quite a bit, Very little gravel shoreline exposed off of 51. Haven't been to either launches lately.

    Thanks Jim.
Things were beginning to look so bad at some launches the last couple of years you had to wonder if some lakes were ever going to recover.

Another almost 3" last night added to the almost inch the two weeks prior, so the seepage lakes are continually getting more water.

I don't know if any of you have been over to the Rainbow but it has made an amazing comeback. Waterlevels are actually high. Good to see the flowage with water rather than huge exposed mud flats. No more walks along the beach though,it's under water
