Motor trolling on Big St. (and most of Northern Wisconsin) is illegal. Row trolling is legal, and quick-strike rigs for suckers is legal (and recommended for live-bait fishing for muskies). Rowing suckers around on quickstrikes is a common and effective method in N.WI.

    A couple more things...

Stop in at Fibber's Bar and Grill on the north shore of BSG and talk to Rob. He'll be able to point you in the right direction as far as what the fish are doing.

Ray at Ray's Landing in Saint Germain will have the best bait, and can explain the quickstrike rig in detail to you. Improperly used qs rigs can kill a lot of muskies, and it would be best to get some advice from the experts.

Check out this clip of Pete Maina using suckers:

    Best of luck!

Water temps. dropped into the upper 60's and with the weather this week water temps should be in the low 60s by the weekend. Rob has a new hooking system for suckers that worked well for him last fall. I used the system too. Stop by and have Rob demo.

Rob ...time to break out the rubber sucker for demos
