Hi Al;
Are you still on the road working a lot or did you get some time on "The Rock” this summer?
This is always my favorite time of the year! I just enjoy fall fishing more than any other time. The water will be cooling a few degrees a week as fall progresses. From October thru November you can anticipate the movement towards the current flow. Don't just key on the walleye movement because you can also get in on some good crappie, bass and musky action in the fall as well.
Both of the systems offer fantastic fall action right till freeze up. Last year we had an early freeze the week before Thanksgiving but I have been on the water during deer season. (Wear your blaze orange)
A number of anglers put the boat away for the season after Labor Day and wait for the spring "walleye run". They miss one of the best times to be on the water! The changing leave colors, the crisp morning air, and some of the best fishing action of the year.
