Default Cedar River Area or Aurthers Bay

I have never fished this area before looking to see if anything is going on in this area before i head up and giver a whirl? I am just looking for a possible starting point or any hot baits/deapths for this time of year. Thanks for any help. Shoot me an email if you feel.

I was there the first week of August. We did pretty good on smallmouth bass in the river. It kind of slowed down late in the week. The salmon boats were only getting two or three fish a trip. They head out early, 3:30am or so and are back in by 9:30. Not much happening for walleyes, however, we did see a boat out off Arthur Bay drifting from the south to north and they had the net out a few times. You'll need a south wind to drift that area. You can stop into that bait and tackle shop by the bridge and ask the owner, he fishes a lot. Just got to find him when he's open. Good guy, makes very nice crawler harnesses and he's got a lot of blades, etc.
