Musky Report 08/1910
Hit the lake this morning with my sweetheart and even though we were faced with the current strong cold front in place and steady east winds, I managed to catch this thirty-five incher on a Manta jerkbait at boatside. Albeit not what I was hoping to catch, this healthy little musky did bust my personal musky drought of 2010! I can only go up from here. Kris did a great job netting the fish and I also mised a lower to mid-forties incher on a Topraider earlier in the morning. This is now the fourth nice musky I have now missed this summer on Topraiders (or should I say they have missed me!) as none of them ever had a hook in them!
This cold front should be leaving here tomorrow and hopefully the bigger muskies will turn on once again with the upcoming Full Moon phase.
The slump has finally ended, now it's time to buckle down and hit some home runs!
