I've been guiding on the Chippewa Flowage so much this week that I decided to call this weeks report the Chippewa Flowage Report. Our local weather has been usually hot and muggy, with nearly no wind at all. Afternoons have been really tough heat wise and fish wise too. Morning fishing on the Chip has proven productive, a few walleyes, some nice smallmouth bass, a couple pike, a few perch ( some good ones too ), and lots of bluegills have been the norm. The average size of the 'gills this year has been nice, good numbers of eatin' sized ones. I fished muskys one morning, we had two follows from good fish but none caught. The weather is supposed to break over the weekend, it might be a good time to hit the muskys hard.
Good luck and good fishing,
Jim Stroede
