Hi guys, a couple of weeks ago you were talking about using mono for backing on the reels. I was wondering what kind of knot you were tying? Thanks for the help and should be up in a couple of weeks to enjoy the north woods for a few days. Thanks for the help, Brad

I use back to back uni-knots. It's a very clean connection and will never fail. Also doesn't create a big hump like some other knots do.

Sometimes I use a knot called (I think) a Nail Knot. I came across an actual website dedicated to knots and it even had animated illustrations for tying knots. Pretty cool.

Here is a page from our learning to fish site that covers both the Uni & Nail knots
