Does anybody know if the Petenwell Dam is still wide open? What kind effect has it had on fishing near the dam?

Does anybody know if the Petenwell Dam is still wide open? What kind effect has it had on fishing near the dam?

Added current in the river usually has a positive influence on the fishing. It stirs up the bugs and disorients the baitfish and makes them gather in eddies and slack water areas where they are easy prey.

Was there, it had to be open,saturday the current was very strong by the damn south of 21.Lots of rain recently

Thanx guys, I'm heading up next monday and was concerned about the current, I have a small boat and battling boat control for three days is not what I call a good time. However, my dad was up yesterday and said that the current is not as bad as it was. Hopefully some 50"+ muskies fell over
