Lake Conditons: Surface Water Temps 74-76 degrees, Water clearity: High winds have stirred up the botton, 2-4 feet clearity at best...Algea bloom continuing throughout shallow portions of the lake. Lake levels: good rising a bit. Lake Bug Hatch: Last Saturday small bugs were swarming all over south end of lake.....think we had a bug lunch that day,,,but seems to have subsided for now.

Weather: Lots of severe weather moving thru the lake region since last fishing report. These weather patterns have produced heavy rain, high winds, lightning, thunder and severe thunderstorms. The bite has been slow due to the weather....althought fishing has been good when you can get out.

Fished Monday July 19 with father-son combo, Fritz and Bobby Piel. Bobby was visiting from New York. Started the day fishing topwater.....caught a couple fish but just not happening on top. Switched to tubes and grubs....did the trick....had a great day on the water....catching a total of 20-25 fish, 11 were over 4 pounds our largest was a 5 pound even smallie.
Bobby got his PB (personal best) a 4 pound 12 oz. Fritz almost got his PB but was a few oz shy with a 5 pound even brownie.

Things are shaping up for a great summer bite....
