The action for muskies has been on the steady rise as of lately .. More fish are being raised BUT getting these babies to hit is a whole different ball game.
The warming trend as made the evening bite so much favourable on Lake of the Woods as of late. Being out the last few days and produced some sumo fish following to boat side but not inticed enough to eat during daylight. So we did our milk runs after dark last night and it was very predictable on how much activity can and does happen after dark ! We didnt trigger any big fish to feed but were rewarded with 3 muskies in the 38- 40 inch class . Nothing to brag about in terms of sizes but definately an impressive number of fish caught in a 2 1/2 hour window of night stalking.
So for all of you heading into NW Ontario make sure you inquire about a night bite musky hunt !!!! I dont think you will be disappointed .
