While we did not have many people fishing at the resort last week we did have a couple of excellent guests that reserved a boat but had more fun fishing off our pier catching northerns with large chubs and a bobber. One evening a black bear even rambled through thier back yard on his way for a swim.
The talk from others say that the panfish are biting leaf worms and crawlers and bass and northern are hitting on topwater baits and spoons plus daredevils. Even a few walleye were taken from Way Dam area on jigs and minnows.
Let's see what this week brings on the Boundary Waters.

A bad day fishing is better than a good day behind a desk.
