    Default Alum 7/1

I got out for a couple hours on Alum last night. Hooked two muskies but neither stayed pinned. One hit right after I heard another person on the radio say "fish on", so the window was small. I did manage to land a 26" saugeye on a 9" bait. It received a pardon from the livewell when I decided I didn't want to clean fish for just one, even though it was a hog. Surface temps were 77 degrees. Boat traffic was very heavy for a week night. Be careful if you get out this weekend.

That's a great saugeye. Seems like the saugeye action has picked up this week. There seems to be a lot of missed muskies this week as well. Just about everyone I have landed this week has been barely hooked, and have lost several. Picked up a chunky 39" last night that shook itself off as soon as it was in the net. Good luck if you get out there this weekend !
