Well I guess we are getting the rain that we are praying for....lakes levels continue to rise....Big St. is just about normal now and others are coming up too....

Water temps are 68 to 73 depending upon size and depth, obviously.


Mayflies are over, but the effects are still lingering.....walleye activity is picking up, with leeches and crawlers your best bet. Deep coontail edges, sand humps, and gravel bars are holding fish, as they start to lock in their summer patterns.....early mornings and evenings are best...1/16 oz Weedmasters and Slowpokes tipped with leeches or crawlers and 1/32 jigs under slip bobbers are working for me.


Muskies are pretty active and doings lots of things....there are fish shallow, deep, and suspended....each lake in the area is doing its own thing, and sometimes every pattern must be checked....today we got fish in weeds and on rocks...5 hits, with 4 in the net...great day. Suicks and smaller bucktails in the weeds, and Bulldawgs and large spinners like Cowgirls, Bait Rigs Realfish patterns(due to crappie pattern) are working over rocks, and Depth Raiders, 10" Slammers, Live Action Mo-Jo's, and Kickin Minnows over open water.

The recent up and down storm activity has really given us several feeding windows through the day...
