6.19.10 Ontario Muskie Opener
Opening day started out overcast and 60 degrees with water temps dropping to 63 degrees. The sun came out around 3:00 pm then the fish started moving around, mostly males. Weed growth 10 - 12 feet. Most of the fish were found in very shallow water 5 feet or less, on shorelines of bays. In the first 4 days of the season we've had lots of fish caught, the largest so far is a 50 incher (see attached photo). The majority have been in the 40 inch class. Glide baits have been the ticket. Also red and black Stump Hawgs.
There has been some top water action. Cow Girls are also producing. Stay Tuned!
