Musky Report 06/20/2010

Spent a wonderful Father's Day with my boys John and Matt bass fishing in the morning and we caught around 20 bass up to twenty inches (Matt's Smallmouth) on a perfect morning. Chigger Craws, beavers, tubes and wacky worms were the ticket.

Next, we headed up north and teamed up with my PMTT partner Aaron Templin, and we fished muskies. Kris and I and my dog Klaus were in my boat, and my boys fished out of Aaron's 621 Ranger. Together we raised three muskies, two of which came to our boat and both were in excess of fifty inches!!!!! Both of these fish were the largest muskies I have seen since my last trip to LOTW in 2002!!!! The largest I would guess at 52-53 inches. Awesome stuff, and this is the reason my family and I relocated to Minnesota. I raised one on a Bullfrog Topraider, and Kris raised hers on a chartreuse and black Esox Edge bucktail. Unfortunately we couldn't trigger them to bite!!! Aaron raised his musky on a Pace Maker topwater.
