Hit the lake tonight with my Musky Huntress (Kris) and we battled intermittent rain squalls and a very unstable weather pattern all evening. I moved a heavy forty-eight incher right before the last and heaviest shower of the night on a walleye colored Heli-Dawg by Musky Innovations. She was fairly hot too, but we never managed to see her again. After this last rain squall, the cloud cover vanished and a stiff NW wind developed, indicating a cool front had passed through, which I think shut down the bite. We fished till dark with no further follows. A warm front is finally approaching this week and my boys, John and Matthew will be spending a lot of boat time with me and fishing for all species should improve along with the weather pattern!
