Our first guests of the season opened up Brown Bear lake outpost with great success. Located north of Kenora, part of the English River system, Brown Bear lake flows into Separation Lake. They had great numbers of smallmouth bass with one at 20", a lunker lake trout measuring 38" and quite a few larger walleyes.
The bass already seemed to be staging before the spawn as the ice was out early April, almost a month earlier than usual. The lake was quite high but has since come down.
I'll be adding photos to our http://www.canadaoutfitters.com and http://www.gopickerel.com websites as they come back from our guests.
