Lake of the Woods filled up this weekend with fishermen galore. They experienced a slight wind, sunny skies and temps around 75. What a way to start off the walleye season. This weeks fishing report comes from the many fishermen coming off the lake that could not help but brag about their fabulous day of fishing.

The tackle of choice has been a gold/bright yellow, pink, or orange 3/8 oz Jig tipped with a minnow. Fish are being caught along Pine Island and out of Lighthouse Gap in 12-25 feet of water. Slot walleyes of 19, 21, and 24 inches were reported and released. Anglers are anchoring and jigging and good numbers of fish are being caught by each party. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCsifxJm3tc
