Opening day was a beauty overall in terms of weather. The wind kicked up some the SW for a period, but the morning and evening time frames were perfect out there.

Our long time opening weekend guests reported good fishing, but not great. Some of the "normal" spring haunts did not hold any fish so they seeked them out other areas, but close to some of their usual places.

14-18 feet of water was the general depth for getting fish with most fish coming in the 14-15 foot range.

Minnows were the better presentation between minnow and leeches.

26.5" was the biggest walleye (released) for their crew.

Overall, a great start to the season and a perfect day on the menu today.
