Default Best Smallmouth Spots and Baits

    Hello -

I'll be fishing lake Mohawksin starting on May 21st. I'm looking to get into some big smallies. Any advice on good areas and lures is appreciated.... also, what is the water temp and have the smallies spawned yet ?

    Thanks!

Zoom Super Flukes in Pearl White or White Ice, Chomper Spider Craws, Skirted Grubs or Tubes are Hot on Lake Mohawksin. For Crankbaits Manns Baby Ones in Grey Ghost color is a great producer for me. Lot of good smallie areas on Wis. River / Mohawksin from Kings Dam down to Prides Dam. The mouth of Musky Creek is a hotspot, the shoreline east of the ski show & Bay Mill are just a few. They have not spawned yet, cold temps drop the water temp to 55 degree's.
    Good Luck when you go.

Thanks a bunch ! I'm sure we'll stop in during the week for some baits. Take care.
