I believe they are called 'Arbor' poles but I recently was given a couple of these pole set-ups that were owned and used by my late Grandfather. I have never fished this technique before but would like to learn more about the proper procedure in doing so. I believe I have the pole, wire, weight rig set up okay but my question is how much of a leader do you run back from the three way swivel away from the weight? 6, 12, 20 feet?, I am not sure how much distance is needed and what pound leader test line is best? I was thinking 12 feet back minimum and probably 25 pound flourocarbon? Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. HD
