Walleye and Smallmouth Bass fishing on the opener has been grrrreat. I had 26 Walleyes on Sat. that averaged 3-5 lbs. with a couple in the 10lb. range or real close. We used all stick baits like Deep Smithwicks in the hoter colors. We were working from 12-18ft. of water with speed around 1.6-2.2mph GPS depending on the wind push.

Smallmouth my Son In Law Kieth was out and said his first 5 fish ranged from 5.3-5.7lbs. Jerk baits and plastics doing the trick. fishing for Bass was excellent on Sat. even with the wind.
