Default Getting ready for open water fishing

With the ice being out early we have started getting ready for the summer to start up. Starting Monday we will be moved out to camp for the season.

We don't have many fishing reports yet, but we have been doing a little bit ourselves for pike and lake trout. Both have been really good.

Anywhere there is warm shallow water for the pike and the lakers have been from 20 feet down to 80 feet.

Since I don't have much for fishing yet this year, here is a small sample of what was cuaght last spring by a few guests during the week of May 24 -30 of 2009.
Wayne and Mary Jo Koch (Mequon, WI) limited out on crappie in a few hours of fishing
Dan Muller (Omaha, NE) and Travis Quigg (Urbana, IL) caught 30 walleyes in one morning
Jack Muller (Iowa City, IA), a 40 inch northern

Also for more fishng reports from "09" check our website in the "whats new section."

Thanks for stopping by to check us out and we look forward to filling you in on whats happening all summer long.
