Thread: Southern Fishing Report

  1. Default Southern Fishing Report

The walleyes are still being caught in the river and lake koshkonong. The catch rate is 5 to 1 for getting keeper sized fish the last few times out. Totals where nine and eight the last few four hour trips. Although I have been doing a bit more trolling the past week to search for more concentrations of fish as they filter back down river.
The Madison Chain crappie and bluegills have been caught in the shallow bays along the southern end of Waubesa, Upper Mud, Squaw Bay.
Last weeks trip on Lake Delavan we caught alot of smaller gills and a few nice crappies. They where begining to enter shallow bays and suspend out over the steeper breaks. With a few days of warming weather I would look for this bite to greatly increase as water temps are still a bit on the low side.
