Thread: First Walleyes of 2010

  1. Default First Walleyes of 2010

My father and I spent 3 1/2 hours on the Rock River this afternoon from Ft Atkinson to the lake. We ended up catching fifteen walleyes and a couple saugers three where keepers. We saw a lot of 13" to 14" fish caught, I took a picture of our biggest 16" and a picture of the best jig color in the box that day. The bite is just getting started with surface temps in the low forties those bigger fish will become really active. Many of last years trips show an average of twenty fish or more fish per trip! The next few weeks will get the bigger fish active as the warming spell continues!
"This would make for a great time to learn spring walleye movements in rivers, rigging and vertical jigging while controlling the boat in the current."
Book a trip in the next three to four weeks if your interested in getting in on this action"
