As water temps still are hanging way behind normal and cool air temps from the recent cold fronts knocked it back a few degrees muskie fishing has been good. Mountain Muskie Lodge guest and guides boated 37 muskies last week up to 43 inches. The water is still murky to muddy with temps still below 50 degrees in the am. It seems the big girls haven't moved up yet but the last 2 days showed signs of females on the move,we landed 6 fat mature females in the past 2 days. Rattlebaits are still the lure of course and my NEW Fat Belly Rattle has took 6 fish last week. Trolling has been good for the guys how who dare to present their lures in 4 feet of less. Also several bigger fish have been lost or seen over the weekend, Scott had some action from really good fish on Shallow Invaders in the NEW show colors and glides. Lance had 2 trolling days that produced 9 fish. Things are looking good for a great early season.
