The 31st annual Eel Pout festival is now history. The crowds were large, estimated at 10 to 12 thousand. The weather was great and the fishing not bad either. If you have not been to this annual event on Leech you should try next year. The "polar plunge" was the big event and raised several thousand dollars for the community center. Charlies Up North restaurant took home the trophy again raising over $15,000. Way to go Charlie. One more week end for walleyes, pike, and bass. The walleyes are in deeper water off most of the Walker Bay humps.

Good luck Murph
