    Default Best summer walleye lake?

Yes, it's a ways off, but was wondering if you had any input on which lake(s) in the Hayward area offer the best summer walleye fishing. We'll be up the end of July - I'll be fishing muskies but have a few buddies who want to do some walleye fishing...

Thanks in advance for any input!

    Joel,
Whats going on? good walleye lakes in summer are the clear water lakes of LCO, Grindstone, and Whitefish. I personally like these lakes because of a good open water trolling bite, and a good slip bobber bite during the day and evening, and a good casting bite after dark in the shallows. hope this helps you out.

    Good luck,

    Question Walleye

Hey Tanner! What do you think about the early morning bite on LLL over along Green Point, and the drop off along Duncan?

Tanner, how is Whitefish for numbers of walleyes? I've heard of some giants coming out of there, but have also heard it can be really tough to catch many out there. I know Grindstone has good numbers of walleyes with some nice ones too. I don't have much experience with LCO for any species, but I've seen some good reports of walleyes there.

Don't forget the Chippewa Flowage either. If you hit it right out there, you can do VERY well on walleyes.

Hi Tanner, I hope all is well! We're actually staying on LCO and figured we'd do most of our fishing out there. Thanks for the info - we'll have a beer while I'm up this July!
