We checked up with one our neighbors this past week to see how the winter has been on the area deer population. So far the winter has been kind to the Deer population with only about 14" of snow in late January and lots of deer are being seen out in the bush.

The Wolf population is still quite high in the area. Wolves have been up around the houses and reportedly chasing pets. No sign of mange yet with the wolves, but the low amounts of snow should give the deer the early advantage this winter. We would like to see a couple wolf hunting parties.
