From a proportionality perspective, what is the largest lure you have ever caught a fish on before?? (For example, I have caught a few smaller, wild brook trout on 5 1/4-inch Rapalas that were at least 2/3 as long as the actual fish.)

This year i was using a bull dawg that with the tail out was 18 inch range and caught a 22 inch pike, It was a hungry little devil.
I caught a 18" Musky on a 10" Suick. A 17" smallmouth on a 9" leo.
Mine is a 14" musky on a 9" suick.... had over 1/2 down his throat! bunches of 9-12" small mouths on 3-4" lures....... it's amazing how big they think they are!
Jacob
20" smallmouth on a 10" plug
9" largemouth on a 6" floating rapala
and drumroll please.......
a 3 inch sculpin on a strip of squid cut for sea bass and snapper!
you did say "in proportion"! Hahaha
Caught a 16" largemouth on a 10" Suick.
Caught a 20" pike on a Mag Dawg. The poor pike was hooked deep too.

Caught a 12" Smallmouth on a spinnerbait I make that measures 10" from the lead to the tip of curly tail w/ bucktail in between and tandem sz8 blades.
This White Bass was VERY hungry !!
I guess I smacked this bluegill right on the head when the lure landed!
Brian
Looks like you have yourself a little "gill trailer" to spice up the bait.
