Ice conditions are changing for the better. Some lakes still have slush issues, however, most are starting to firm up. Although some vehicles are spotted on lakes, we are still having about one a week go down. Take it from me, it's not worth it. Walk, ATV, or snowmobile and be safe.

I am finding anywhere from 7 to 11 inches of ice(but not all good, solid ice).

Walleyes bit pretty good last night with the small mini snow front approaching. Me and a buddy ventured out and checked a spot, we limited in 2 hrs with a couple real nice perch too.

I prefer to start fishing deeper humps and bars this time of year. I think the deeper water bites are more consistant and allow for more action than just the typical "hour before dark" bite.

Perch were mixed in with the walleyes, which is pretty typical for this time of year.

I have a little more time this week to myself, therefore I'll be out scouting.

Due to some cancellations, I do have openings this coming weekend if anyone is interested.

Good Luck!
