Hit the lake today with Andrew, my guide client and we had a fun day on the water. Two inches of fresh snow greeted us at the landing, along with forty-two degree water. We hooked and lost one fish in the mid to upper thirties on a weighted sucker colored Suick around 11:30am, and I also dragged a big sucker around on a quick set rig to no avail. The water was quite turbid and visibility was off, which surprised me a bit for this late in the year, and most of the large shad schools I marked on my electronics were all hanging at thirty-eight to forty feet of water.

Probably my last musky outing this year, and with my buck already in the freezer, I guess it's time to ice fish!
