    Default 12/5/09 Alum Report

In case anyone is looking to make a late run for muskies on Alum, the water temp was 43 in central part of the lake today. Air temps were no where near that and had to deal with freezing guides. Paid off with a couple in the low 30's and a big bonus bass. Picked up a 34” yesterday afternoon as well. Be careful if you get out there , good luck !

Good to hear the Muskies are still biting at Alum and your still catching them. Your paying your dues now with this cold weather.
Chuck and I went to Clearfork Sat 5th. Some ice in Marina bay up by the bridge. Lots of Shad in the bay but we didn't have any action casting. Casting became too difficult with ice forming in the guides. we quit casting and trolled. It never did get above freeezing all day. Hooked one trolling but it got off. water temps are 38-41 and going down. Marina bay and the boat ramp area will freeze up quickly with these cold temps forcast.
Maybe you can get out a time or two yet at Alum.
    Good luck,
    Mark
