Thread: River Muskies

    Default River Muskies

I went out alone today and managed two muskies out of the Allegheny. Both fish were caught on small Crane Baits. Water temps were around 51. The sun was extremely bright and I had a hard time getting a good pic. The smaller fish had a large sore on its gill plate. Anyone know what would cause that?

The largest fish we netted in '08 was caught on a small Crane in mid-December.

    Congrats on your 2-fish day!

The Evinrude is running great Red. I was just on the phone with Wiegels yesterday and probably need to get the plugs changed before next spring. It starts and runs like a champ though.

They are great engines. When I had Wiegel's sell my last rig after running it for 16 months, they took it for a test run and the engine would not fire up very easily. They ran the diagnostics and found that I had put 397 hours on the original plugs!! Yep, it was time for new plugs.
